Minimalistic and honest, at the same time elegant and filigree: Chair 118 is a classic wooden chair that adds subtle elegance to any dining table or restaurant. The principle is to reduce a chair to the fewest elements possible. Chair 118 is a further development of Michael Thonet original design from the late 19^th century.

Designer Sebastian Herkner

Sebastian Herkner (1981) was born in Bad Mergentheim, Germany.

He studied product design at HfG Offenbach am Main. In 2006 he founded his own studio for objects, interior design and exhibition design in Offenbach am Main. Today, Herkner works for international companies and designs furniture and lamps, porcelain and glass. His success is already reflected in numerous awards and prizes, among them the 2011 German Design Award in the Newcomer category and the 2015 EDIDA Elle Decoration International Design Award as Best International Newcomer.
